THE POSITION We're looking for an Operations Specialist to assist in training of department staff and airport tenants, with department administrative and operation needs to include Part 139 compliance, Badging, Customs, and perimeter patrols.
Helps maintain the Airport SMS program and safety inspections.
Some of the positions responsibilities include:
Assists the Operations Supervisor with daily departmental oversight.
Coordinates the Authority's Safety Management System (SMS) program by conducting ongoing inspections to ensure all safety regulations, procedures and practices are being followed.
Document all unsafe conditions in a timely, detailed manner.
Supports the Airport Operations Officers with daily activities including Part 139 daily inspections and responding to alerts, accidents and incidents.
Helps maintain the airport Badging program including maintenance of all records in accordance with TSA Regulations 1542 and 1544 concerning Criminal History Record Checks and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC).
Answers all questions relating to the badging and credentialing process, which includes handling sensitive and confidential records or information.
Assists with the development of media identification for staff, tenants and construction personnel.
Coordinates, records and supports Customs and Border Protection flight services including managing and disposing of regulated garbage.
REQUIREMENTS Associate Degree from a two-year college or university; or combination of certifications, training, and education.
At least two years related aviation experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have current Florida driver's license and clean driving record for previous 5 years.
Frequent driving of different kinds of vehicles.
Communicate effectively over two-way radio.

Starting pay at $26.
26 per hour Shift Schedule:
Position 1:
Sunday - Monday 6am-2pm, Tuesday - Thursday 2pm-10pm Position 2:
Friday - Monday 2pm-10pm, Tuesday 10am-6pm 40 hours p/week.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
