A reputable and stable firm in Naples, FL, is hiring a Senior Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team. The ideal candidate works independently as well as in group and will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department. This includes maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
Maintain financial records and ensure accuracy and completeness
Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and standards
Assist with budget preparation and forecasting
Manage and reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
Assist with audits and tax filings
Supervise and train accounting staff
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
CPA certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
